Advent Day 5: O Come Emmanuel
““Lord, now you are letting your servant depart in peace, according to your word; for my eyes have seen your salvation that you have prepared in the presence of all peoples, a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and for glory to your people Israel.”” (Luke 2:29–32 ESV)
This morning at church, we are going to be singing "O Come, O Come Emmanuel." This is one of my favorite Christmas songs for two reasons. (1) The melody is beautiful. (2) The song is deep theology. Christ is the long awaited Messiah of Israel who is coming again to save his Church!
Here is a video of two of my worship leaders, Shane and Shane. Praise the Lord for His coming this Sunday morning!
