Have You Seen My Snake?
If you want to pull a funny, terrifying, and perfectly harmless prank on house guests, have I got an idea for you. I probably won't be able to do this, so I thought I might share it:Materials Needed:
- A guest room
- A history of quirkiness and spontaneity
- A snake cage, fully decorated
- Possibly a small mouse or two, to fully sell the prank
When your guest comes seeking a bed and room to lay there weary heads, invite them in with a smile and let them get comfortable. Have some dinner, some laughs, maybe even some tears. Don't mention the empty snake cage in their bedroom. Let them get comfortable and make sure it get's too late for them to leave and find a different house to stay at. If all goes as planned, send them off to bed. But before they get too comfortable, knock on the door and say, "I'm sorry, I totally forgot to feed my pet snake Pete." If you really want to sell it, bring in a live mouse with you. Despite their confused and fearful look, walk confidently over to the cage. Tap on it a few times, repeat the snake's name while dangling the mouse over the cage. After about fifteen seconds, turn around, not too quickly, not too slowly, and non-chalantly say, "I guess the snake escaped again, I hope you're not a really heavy sleeper." Then walk out of the room. There is no snake, but they don't need to know that.
